Langdale - Lake District Property
This beautiful four bedroom Lake District Property was traditionally constructed in the 1930s. Created from naturally split rough Lakeland slate from the local Elterwater quarry and the house was tightly roofed with dressed green Westmorland slate.
The architect's brief for this 1930s house was to maintain the character of the house and garden, whilst upgrading the look and feel of the spaces to create a modern home, with room for family and friends to stay.
The house benefits from some of the most fantastic views the Lake District has to offer. In order to make the most of these we created a double doorset with sidelights, a double doorset with no sidelights a double side swing with fixed light window and a large fixed light window. The fabulous views of Langdale Pikes from the Western Gable were brought to the fore with floor to ceiling square windows in both the living room and master bedroom.
