Our Flush Casement Timber Windows are ideal for any building where an outward opening, traditional casement window is required. This is a very popular style that works in both modern and traditional properties.

The flush casement is a very traditional design used for over 200 years. Dating back to the 19th century, all windows, which would have been constructed using timber, were designed with flush fitting sashes and this is evident in many late Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian properties.

As the name suggests, Once the flush casement window is closed it sits flush within the frame, so creating a flat surface on the outside.

Available as top hung (i.e. opens from the top of the window frame) or side hung (i.e. opens from the side), we at AJ&D Chapelhow offer a variety of period detailing to suit the needs of restoration projects or new builds in Conservation Areas.
Options on finishes and colours, both externally and internally, as well as a range of handle and lock styles mean that the flush casement window is extremely versatile.

The flush casement window can be hung on either our IPA hinge, which is like a butt hinge but of a heavier construction, or on the Grorud G9100 friction hinge, the benefit of this is a hidden hinge, and no casement stay is required when using the G9100 friction hinge.

They are also fitted with an espagnolette enabling up to 3 locking points.
